A Y-Type strainer is an essential component in any piping system, using a perforated or mesh screen to trap debris while allowing fluid to pass through. Its distinctive Y-shaped design allows the strainer screen to be positioned at an angle to the flow path, creating a large screening area with minimal pressure drop. The strainer can be easily cleaned by removing the cover and extracting the screen, or in some configurations, by opening a drain valve to flush out accumulated debris .
